Environmental

The Company fully complies with all environmental legislation and the specified standards of Government and regulatory authorities. Recognising the potential effect that some elements of activity may create, Autologic is fully committed to minimising damage to the environment and negating pollution by proactively developing best practice initiatives in:

• Transport fuel efficiency
• Waste disposal
• Energy use.

Environmental awareness is also being raised amongst employees to further progress these initiatives. In addition, the Company is fully supportive of Government policy to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and has implemented an ongoing process to review waste disposal in line with the Government’s Waste Minimisation Programme:

1. Eliminate - Avoid producing it in the first place
2. Minimise - Reduce the amount produced
3. Re-use - Re-use as many times as possible
4. Recycle - Recycle as much as possible after its been re-used
5. Dispose - Dispose of what is left in a responsible way

To reduce the Company’s overall energy consumption, guidance has been sought from the Carbon Trust and energy saving opportunities are being introduced as they arise. For example Vemis, a telematic on-board driver monitoring system, has now been installed in a significant number of Autologic trucks. The data generated by Vemis shows that fuel consumption has improved and carbon emissions have reduced by 6% within the fleet.
